The Model 3 and Model Y panoramic roof has factory UV coating but limited infrared rejection. A ceramic roof film cuts the radiant heat coming down on your head and shoulders — the difference between a usable back seat and a greenhouse in August.
Every mile of climate control comes out of the battery. Lowering the cabin's solar heat gain means the AC cycles less and pre-conditioning finishes faster, which shows up directly in real-world range on a Bend-to-Portland run.

Every panel is computer-cut to your exact model and trim, so there are no hand-cut edges on that glass and no blade near your paint.
Oregon allows 35% VLT or lighter on front side windows and a tint band across the top of the windshield. A full-front windshield film in a clear or near-clear ceramic is also available where legal use permits it.
Any darkness is legal behind the driver in Oregon. Most owners match factory privacy glass on the Model Y and Model 3, or go darker for a uniform blacked-out look.
The single highest-impact upgrade on a Tesla. We install ceramic roof film in one or two pieces depending on the model, tuned for maximum infrared rejection without turning the cabin into a cave.

It is the upgrade most owners say they should have done first. The factory roof blocks UV but lets a lot of infrared heat through. Ceramic roof film noticeably drops the radiant heat on your head and shoulders and reduces how hard the climate system has to work.
Oregon law allows 35% VLT or lighter on front side windows, any darkness on rear side and back glass, and a tint strip along the top six inches of the windshield. Because ceramic film rejects heat rather than relying on darkness, a legal 35% still delivers serious heat control.
Indirectly, yes. Climate control is one of the biggest auxiliary loads on the battery. Reducing solar heat gain means less AC runtime and shorter pre-conditioning, which recovers real-world miles in summer driving.
